WBRW TV and Michigan Community Media will be broadcasting live from the Romeo Peach Festival parades on Monday, Sept. 2. For the first time in more than a decade, the Children’s Parade, “Super Heroes and Villains” at 10 a.m., and the Floral Parade at 1:30p.m. will be shown live on WBRW channel 6.
“This is a significant step forward for the community and the organization,” said Adam Brady, WBRW TV’s broadcast production manager: “Local residents want to know what is going on nearby, and this provides instant programming and information – and meets a long-time community need.”
In addition to the live programming, WBRW TV staff and volunteers will be onsite during the event filming for “Around the Community,” a bi-weekly program showcasing area events as well as unique Peach Festival Programming featuring the Kidzfest, carshow and much more.
