With a focus on business networking with the high quality service and equipment providers coupled with peer-to-peer hands-on training, the programs and events were overwhelmingly well received. It was one of our largest turnouts with over 60 business owners, managers, and technicians attending the full conference, and all conference sessions had a 100% participation level.

Day one featured our inaugural Annual Golf Outing at the luxurious Cherry Creek Golf Club in Shelby Township. On day two the powerful and energy-filled keynote presentation “Realizing and Using the Laws of Attraction in Your Life” was delivered by nationally renowned speaker Michael Jeffries. Day one sessions at the Inn covered topics such as “Choose your customer – Don’t let them choose you,” “Technology Innovations for the Duct Cleaner” and a very competitive hands-on estimating exercise in the Inn’s giant natatorium.

Day two of the conference was held on-site at Safety King the DuctPro in Shelby Township (www.safetyking.com, www.ductpro.com). At their campus, MJ and Marcus Palazzolo facilitated several more presentations including “Hiring and Background Checks” and “Crawl Space Solutions to Improve IAQ.” The entire conference also participated in a half-day presentation on Lead and Asbestos Awareness presented by Eastern Michigan University followed by a special BBQ luncheon. That evening attendees headed over to Dave and Buster’s for dinner, games, and merriness.

The Duct Cleaners Network has already announced plans to hold its 8th annual event at the same location in August of 2011. Exact dates will be announced shortly. The DCN’s mission remains promoting interaction among its members at reasonable costs. All events are held at family-friendly properties. In addition to the networking and educational programs some members even use the network to cooperatively participate in large projects together. To support true networking, DCN hosts a lively Discussion Forum. DCN members also have access to a comprehensive business audio library. More information about this exciting network and their upcoming events calendar can be found at the website, www.ductcleanersnetwork.org.
