Angie's List Super Service Award
The Angie's List Super Service Award (now part of Angi) honored service providers who maintained exceptional ratings and reviews from Angie's List members during the year. Winners had to meet strict eligibility requirements, including an "A" rating in overall grade, recent grade and review period grade.
The award went to roughly 5 percent of the businesses rated on Angie's List. As Angie's List founder Angie Hicks said at the time, only about 5 percent of the air duct cleaning companies in Southeast Michigan performed consistently well enough to earn it.
You cannot buy this award with advertising. It came from Safety King customers posting reviews of the work.
Award Years
When Safety King received the 2012 award, it marked the fifth time the company had won. The company has continued to earn it in the years since, through the 2019 award announced in early 2020.
Industry Leadership With NADCA
When the National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) was formed in 1987, Safety King founder Michael S. Palazzolo became a charter member and served on its founding Board of Directors. In 1991 he served as NADCA president.
At NADCA's 30th Annual Meeting in Nashville in 2019, Mike stood with other past NADCA presidents in front of the association's timeline. More than 30 years after NADCA's founding, Safety King was the only founding member company still in the association.
